パナソニックがＶＨＳ方式の家庭用ビデオレコーダーの生産を終了したことが１０日、分かった。放送のデジタル化やＤＶＤの普及に伴い需要が急減しているためで、流通在庫がなくなり次第、同社製は店頭から姿を消す。ＶＨＳ方式は昭和５２年に発売したが、約３５年の歴史に幕を下ろす。
